You know those gorgeous buttons that so many of you have? How do I get one? Did you make your own?
And also, while we're at it. Some of you, on your sidebar - instead of a basic blog roll like mine, have one that has a pic/icon and the person's last post. How do I do that?
I can't help you with the button gorgeous but when you go in to edit your blog list, tick the box that says thumbnail of most recent item.

Well I'm not blog smart but I do know a couple of answers! Under your dashboard - design - add a gadget area where you add the gadget titled 'blog list' - go to that and it will have little check boxes where you can add icon, thumbnail snippet and title etc. You can choose to add or subtract blogs and choose how many you want listed and how - most recent etc.
ReplyDeleteAs for the button question - if you have your own image you can add text with a site like bannermaker and then Melissa at Suger Coat It (blog) had a brilliant tutorial on how to make it a button so that when you click it takes you to the link. Step by step even I could manage it so it's a great place to start.

I made up the little picture myself into a jpeg file, and then i also used the tutorial at Sugar Coat It ( with a little help from Lori at RRSAHM ). Good luck!
