Time again for Dani's Polly Dolly challenge.
This week's challenge is the Trench coat. I confess, I'm not usually a fan of trench coats (is it just me that sees a woman in a trench and heels and wonders if she's off to 'surprise' someone? Yes? ....mkay).
Initially, I found this gorgeous red trench and a retro styled black dress and I fell in love. But I kind of went there last week, and didn't want to do a repeat. So, I found this Full Length beige trench, and with the gorgeous Michael Kors dress (it was really all abotu this dress for me, I confess)..we were on our way to a set.

Seriously, if you've got a little bit of spare time, the Polyvore challenge is one of my favourite blog challenges to join in on. Why don't you pop on over to Dani's blog and join in..
(I'm always intrigued by everyone else's. I always make the disclaimer in mine that I've chosen items based on a dream budget and a dream body. And yet, I'm still not brave enough to pick some of the colours or combinations that some of the girls (Dani especially) choose. It would seem, that while I love pretty and feminine, I am a fan of simple and classic at the same time. Not brave at all).

lol so you wouldn't be impressed that I nearly bought a bright purple trench coat last night? It looked amazing.
ReplyDeleteNo - see, that's just it, Jenn. I LOVE that. I wish that were me - and you could pull it off.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could - but the thought of being looked at - even in a good way(and something as gorgeous as a purple coat would get you looked at, in a good way) makes me panic.
So even in my imagination, it would seem that I choose more subtle.
I love how clean and classic this set is - just gorgeous. And i know what you mean Melissa - i love wearing red but thats usually as far as i go with out there colour in my wardrobe. However, i imagine that my Polly is not me but rather some gorgeous Miranda Kerr-esque woman, so i give myself licence to dream big if its not me wearing it!
ReplyDeleteI totally love that dress.
ReplyDeleteI definitely understand what you say about pulling it off. I do more often than not pick things that I would actually wear myself instead of playing with bold combinations possible of the challenge. And I don't think there is anything wrong with that at all, everyone still has a style they like challenge or not.
I put pictures up on facebook Liss - on further consideration I must have the purple trench lol.
ReplyDeleteThat dress is just amazing.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that dress! I so want it but the price is outrageous. It's time like these where I need a limitless credit card that doesn't need paying back!
ReplyDeleteThe trench and boots are nice, but for me, that DRESS is perfect!! Great set Melissa.
