Dreamy Sigh...

I don't even care if it's cheesy. I found this YouTube video today over at Lady Sadie's Emporium today.  And it's been such a rough couple of weeks in the blogosphere, with tales of struggle and heartbreak and battles with the black dog, I thought I needed something just....nice. And antidote.

I love the "When Harry Met Sally" element of this one.

(And while I personally would have hated a public proposal, and this appears to be a TV show....this one is kind of spectacularThat moment...."I'm going to be your wife!..." almost makes up for that dress!)

She's really surprised!

I confess, I'm a sap. I love a love story. I love a happy ending. I love love. Next Tuesday is our 14th wedding anniversary. Yesterday was the 4th anniversary of my darling Sister in law Tam, and her husband Josh; as well as the 10th anniversary of one of my most wonderful internet friends, Emily and her husband James.

I was just telling Em yesterday, when we first got married I said to Joel that I couldn't wait til we could look back and say we'd been married an entire decade!  That then we'd be a 'real married couple', not 'newlyweds'. I have to say though. It doesn't feel like it's been so long. 2 children, and a looooot of things come our way. And my heart still skips a beat when he kisses me, my feet still slide over to feel his in our sleep and my favourite part of the day is still that moment he walks through the door.

Love is in the air.  Can you feel it?  Tell me something about your love.

FYBF

So, for a break from the heavy, I'm adding this as my FYBF link.  Head on over to Glowy (she's had a rough week, send her your love) and join in.

I'm not really that much of a romantic but something about our tenth anniversary has me all gooey. Maybe it's from going cross eyed over new shiny things?!

  7. Love this post and cheers and congrats for your upcoming anniversary. Lord Koukou and I have been married for 16 years.

During that time god knows he has challenged me, pissed me off, laughed at me and with me, screamed at me and overall I feel a better person to be around him.

Even though it is hard at times and it takes a lot of work, I love after 16 years he still brings me my morning coffee before he leaves for work. Its the simple things that sometimes mean the most.

    Enjoy your day!

  8. Ahhhhh, I am total sappy romantic as well. If movies don't give me the predicable but happy ending I just plain get ticked off.

I teared up a bit watching those proposals! Thanks for the smile today.

  9. Lovely. I wish I could be more romantic. I have a tough heart but deep down it is there. My partner is the most loving person I have met. It is nice to stop and think about that : )

I know we're all busy, so the fact you've taken time out of your day to comment and connect with me means so much.

xxxx
Melissa.
