Only this one is utterly mortifying.
You know how there's been all of this fuss over Kim Kardashian's divorce? Well, truth be told, I really didn't know anything about it. I didn't know that much about the wedding (except that there was one, and that it was a big deal). I didn't know who all the players were, which sister was which, which sibling belonged to which parent....
I'm not a reality tv watcher. I like reality like Grand Designs and Deliver me and the Amazing Race (though I confess, I'm not sure that's still on. I haven't watched a series of Amazing Race in 8 years). But Big Brother/Masterchef/Kardashians/The Hills etc - not so much.
Well, out of curiosity, I aquired the season of Kim and Kourtney take New York. And I watched it, in anight. I was so embarrassed, I watched it after Joel went to sleep. And every time he stirred in bed, I'd pause it and quickly click my mouse over to Words With Friends.
And then I watched the season of Khloe and Lamar. Oh, the shame!
It's been a week now. I've watched Kim and Kourtney take New York. I've watched the first two sesons of Keeping up With The Kardashians. I've gone so far as to identify with one of the characters and hate certain others!!!!
Joel caught me. Red handed. He walked in and I was sneaking in the last few minutes of an ep I'd been watching earlier in the day. His face was hysterical! He almost paled, and his jaw just dropped as he choked out 6 words.
"You'll be hearing from my attourney".
I think I have a choice to make. It's a no brainer, of course. I adore Joel. Couldn't live without him.
But there are 5 seasons left. I haven't seen the wedding(s) or the birth of Mason!
What the hell happened to me?
All I know is - if it ever turns into Jersey Shore or Real HouseB!tches of anywhere - I'm gonna need you to shoot me. :-)

That is so funny! A similar thing happened to me with The Hills a few years ago. It starts with an innocent curiousity and next thing I rented (maybe bought) the whole show. I'll never forget the day I had to come out to my husband and tell him I was hooked. He is still laughing.
ReplyDeleteI still think Lauren is amazing!
Too funny! You will have to do a "who's who in the zoo" post for me. I can't keep up! x
ReplyDeleteHaha. Sounds familiar as it happened to me too. It's like an addiction. I used to frown on such shows too but now I'm a self-confessed fan of the reality genre. It's entertaining & after a long day that keeps us sane.
ReplyDeleteOh dear, a most embarrassing caught out moment!!
ReplyDeleteI am not really a Kardashian fan but equally as bad I am addicted to the Real Housewives of New Jersey, New York and Beverley Hills.
ReplyDeleteNow that is embarrassing.
Oh they suck you right in. Sometimes it's good to watch a bit of brainless mush. Good for you.
ReplyDeleteBahaha, I sneakily watch episodes of The Hill during the day if it's on TV. Ben hates the though of these shows too, so I daren't watch them anymore than this either!!
ReplyDeleteWe all have our own secret TV trash loves. I am into Millionare matchmaker!
ReplyDeleteLOL! that's hilarious, but I can understand totally. I used to stay up and watch their show...without letting hubs know of course. Or else...he'll be laughing at how pathetic I am, staying up late to watch it!
ReplyDeleteHilarious! I'm not a bog fan of the Kardashians but I did get a little hooked on The Hills.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea of who the K 's are or even the Hills but I am lol at your post about being sneaky.
