Denise's NourishingMy Soul

I'm linking up with Denise over at DeniseWhelan.com for her "Nourishing my Soul" movement. The point being to take time out of each day to take care of ourselves, tend to our own needs (in the midst of how busy we all are taking care of other people) and doing something each day that makes us happy, recharging our batteries.

Linking up can be done any way - using Twitter, Instagram or blogs. The hashtag is #NourishMySoul2DaybyDW.

I remembered to take a photo yesterday, but I forgot to post  the hashtag on it. Because I'm slow like that. I've only begun to work out Instagram.

So. For January #1  My first book of 2013.  I finished my 100 book challenge last year. It felt good and I can't tell you how I love some of the books I read. Some I've been meaning to get to for years.  But for this year, I'm thinking of setting the goal at 75 - easier to get to, I think.

I decided to start 2013 off on a happy note - with an author I adore. One who feels like home, who's 'voice' I'd recognise anywhere.  It's Lucy Maud Montgomery. And I'm reading one of the only (or the only) books she wrote for an adult audience.  It's wonderful.  The Blue Castle.  Reading on the new Kindle Joel got me.

Day #2 may not seem to be an 'about me' moment. But it was most definitely nourishing to my soul as I found myself giggling like a fool, and loving every second.  My boys putting on a show for me. I made myself step away from the computer, away from the book (worse - away from the airconditioner!!!!) and just...be.

Mama's little hams.
I think I'll link up to Instagram or Twitter each day, and just do a weekly summary on here each Sunday.

Head on over to Denise and join in.
